A family story!
For 50 years, the Lequertier group has specialised in the trading and processing of seafood products. A family that has been working for more than 50 years at the forefront of the Normandy fishing industry and has maintained a strong culture of ties with fishermen and shipowners, while adapting to the market.
Created in 1968 by Marcel Lequertier, the family-owned business has grown and is now a major player in the French seafood industry.
1968
Creation of the company
Marcel Lequertier starts his business in the Halles de Caen for the local market. He buys a place as a wholesaler in the municipal market of Caen, on quai Hamelin (Rives de l’Orne).
1984
Erick & Didier: the 2nd generation
The two brothers take over the company and develop it further. For better synergy, they divide the tasks and roles. Erick becomes the Group’s Chairman. And Didier, the Managing Director.
1996
Setting up in Mondeville
The head office and the factory are set up in Mondeville: first purchases in fish markets, first refrigerated truck, first health and safety standard!

Fresh packaged
Lequertier launches into fresh packaged goods The Group invests and creates a workshop for the packaging of products
2010
Our workshop in Port en Bessin
In 2010, we created our manual shucking workshop.
2015
Major export division
The group launches itself internationally and opens a large export division.
2017
Alexis LEQUERTIER : The 3rd generation
Alexis Lequertier, Marcel’s grandson and Didier’s son, joined the company. He represents the current and future 3rd generation of this major player in the Normandy fishing industry.
2022
Assert its status as a major player in the French seafood industry
An institutional communication with the signature “The forefront of the Normandy fishing industry” is set up. With this new image, Erick and Didier Lequertier want to give the group an identity in line with its vibrancy and development. A modern, attractive image which corresponds to the company’s future and which coincides with the arrival of Alexis Lequertier, the 3rd generation. They intend to strengthen the image of the entire group and thus assert its status as a major player in the French seafood industry
